In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Patriots face the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 21. Freedom will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Asheville (Asheville, NC).
