August 18, 2025: Rome, GA 30161 The Model Blue Devils softball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Armuchee Indians to 2 in the Blue Devils non-league win on Monday.
Next, the Blue Devils meet the Mt. Zion Eagles (Mt. Zion, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, August 20. Model will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 11-3 non-league win over Chattooga (Summerville, GA).
With the loss, Armuchee moves to 2-3 on the season. The Indians host Gordon Lee (Chickamauga, GA) to encounter the Trojans in a 1A D-I Region 7 outing on Tuesday, August 19. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 3-2. Gordon Lee lost 8-5 in their recent non-league test against Creekview (Canton, GA)
