The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the host University Christian Barracudas (Hickory, NC), saw Alexander Central's volleyball squad achieve victory over University Christian by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Alexander Central improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Cougars host South Iredell (Statesville, NC) to face the Vikings in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 4-4.

The Barracudas now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winston Salem Christian for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. University Christian will face a Lions team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association (Concord, NC). The Lions record now stands at 0-4.
