North Carolina High School Volleyball - Draughn can't hold off St. Stephens

August 21, 2025: Valdese, NC 28690

In Thursday's non-league match, the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) volleyball squad tipped the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), by a final score of 3-2.

Next up, the Indians confront the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 28. St. Stephens will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record.

With the loss, Draughn drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to clash with the Hilltoppers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, August 26. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a record of 1-3. R-S Central lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Crest (Shelby, NC)
