In Monday's non-league match, the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) volleyball squad tipped the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), by a count of 3-2.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Foard Tigers (Newton, NC) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, August 13. Alexander Central will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 league win over West Iredell (Statesville, NC).
