Willows Honkers (Willows, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Willows improves its record to 3-5 on the season. The Honkers travel to University Prep (Redding, CA) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 3-0. University Prep won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Pierce (Arbuckle, CA)

Next, the Cardinals meet the Colusa RedHawks (Colusa, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Corning will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The RedHawks come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Sutter (Sutter, CA).
