The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) and the host Union Rockets (Modoc, IN), saw Monroe Central's volleyball squad nip Union by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Monroe Central upgrades its record to 2-3 on the year. The Golden Bears travel to Northeastern (Fountain City, IN) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 25. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Northeastern won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Union City (Union City, IN)

The Rockets now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wes-Del for a Mid-Eastern bout on Thursday, September 1.
