In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Asheville Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the R-S Central Hilltoppers.

The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Robbinsville beat Asheville (Asheville, NC), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hilltoppers meet the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 24. R-S Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record.
