The Midlothian Trojans football squad scored 19 points and limited the visiting L.C. Bird Skyhawks to 0 in the Trojans league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Freeman for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Midlothian will meet a Mavericks squad coming off a 21-20 non-league win over Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA). The Mavericks record now stands at 1-0.

The Skyhawks (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas Dale (Chester, VA). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Thomas Dale toppled Cosby (Midlothian, VA), 29-7, in a non-league challenge.
