In Thursday's non-league match, the host Velma-Alma Comets softball team scored a nice 11-3 victory over the Big Pasture Rangers.

The Comets (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Wayne (Wayne, OK). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 3-9 record. In their last match, Wayne was routed by Stratford (Stratford, OK), 9-3, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Rangers battle the Hollis Tigers (Hollis, OK) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 5. Big Pasture will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record.
