In Thursday's league test, the Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Central Bronchos (Marlow, OK), by a tally of 12-2.

Next, the Comets clash with the Bray-Doyle Donkeys (Bray, OK) in a Class A test, on Saturday, September 14. Velma-Alma will attempt to advance on its 9-12 season record. The Donkeys go into the test with a 3-13 record after their 17-3 league loss to Rush Springs (Rush Springs, OK).
