The Unity Christian/Mt. Pulaski Lions football team (Decatur, IL), dropped 34-12 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL)

With the win, Metro-East Lutheran upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Knights travel to Hutsonville/Palestine (Palestine, IL) to confront the Tigers in a contest on Friday, September 5. The Tigers enter the contest with a record of 0-0.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Blue Ridge/Christ Lutheran/DeLand-Weldon Knights (Farmer City, IL) in a contest, on Friday, September 5. Unity Christian/Mt. Pulaski will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
