September 2, 2023: John Day, OR 97845 Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Vernonia Loggers (Vernonia, OR), 3-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Prospectors battle the Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 2. Grant Union will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Trojans come into the match with a 0-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to East Linn Christian Academy (Lebanon, OR).
With the loss, Vernonia drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Loggers travel to Heppner (Heppner, OR) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league match on Saturday, September 2. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 1-1. Heppner lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Crane (Crane, OR)
