High School Volleyball - JV Opponent over Pensacola Area Homeschool
September 2, 2025: , In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host JV Opponent volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix .
The (33-62) will now prepare for their challenge against Weddington Christian Academy (Weddington, NC). The Hawks go into the test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Weddington Christian Academy gained a win over Union Preparatory (Indian Trail, NC), 3-2, in a non-league test.
The Phoenix now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atmore Christian for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4.
Match Summary
Our first visit of the season to South Baldwin was a disappointment. It was JV co-captain Samantha McDonald's sweet sixteenth birthday, but our JV team came in unprepared to compete in a very winnable match vs. the Lady Knights JV'ers, and, sadly, we were unable to deliver Sam a win for her birthday. Shorthanded and flatfooted, we floundered our way through a (not-so-funny) comedy of errors to give away the match to the Knights on a silver platter. We couldn't serve straight, pass straight or hit straight.
