High School Volleyball - Pensacola Area Homeschool JV Opponent
August 14, 2025: , JV Opponent (, ) boosters were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix (Pensacola, FL), 3-1 in a league challenge.
The (3-12) will now prepare for their test against New Life Academy (Elizabeth City, NC). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
The Phoenix now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to JV Opponent for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21.
Match Summary
Our Phoenix squad started off strong against the JV Lady Lions, taking a solid all-round game to the court. The Lady Lions were quickly on their hind legs, struggling to get organized and get a handle on the ball in their first home match of the season. The Lady Lions righted their ship, however, in the 2nd set, with our team faltering in our serve receive, as well as in making effective attacks. Playing a tentative game, we gave our opponents the initiative, and dropped two consecutive sets. After opening the 4th set in a similar fashion, including allowing an 11 point serving run by #5, we managed to engineer a comeback, let by our own #4 Kimber Herman's effective serving. In the end, though making it close, our girls fell short, dropping the set and the match 22-25.
