In Tuesday's non-league bout, the Iowa Colony Pioneers (Iowa Colony, TX) volleyball team knocked off the host Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX), by a margin of 3-0.

The Pioneers now possess a 13-12 record. They play next when they travel to Friendswood for a 5A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, September 5. Iowa Colony will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Clear Springs (League City, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 21-7.

With the loss, Fort Bend Hightower falls to 17-7 on the year.
