Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX) and the visiting Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), saw Yoakum's volleyball squad achieve victory over Nixon-Smiley by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Yoakum improves its record to 7-11 on the season. The Bulldogs host Karnes City (Karnes City, TX) to face the Badgers in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Badgers go into the test with a record of 10-12. Karnes City lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Cole (San Antonio, TX)

Next, the Mustangs meet the Three Rivers Bulldogs (Three Rivers, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Nixon-Smiley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Pettus (Pettus, TX).
