September 4, 2025: Hobbs, NM 88240 Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM), 3-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Hobbs moves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Chaparral (Chaparral, NM) to clash with the Lobos in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Lobos go into the outing with a record of 3-4. Chaparral lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 6. Lovington will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 5-3 record after their 1-0 non-league win over New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM).
