Nebraska High School Softball - Chase County succumbs to Southern Valley/Alma

September 4, 2025: Oxford, NE

In Thursday's non-league test, the Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE), by a tally of 14-0.

The now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lexington for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 9. Southern Valley/Alma will encounter a Minutemen team coming off a 12-0 league loss to Alliance (Alliance, NE). The Minutemen record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Chase County moves to 1-3 on the season. The Longhorns host Wray/Yuma (Wray, CO) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 4-7. Wray/Yuma lost 12-6 in their recent non-league contest against Platte Valley (Kersey, CO)
