The Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) softball held off the visiting Claxton Tigers (Claxton, GA), 8-7 in Thursday's league bout.

The War Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their bout against Screven County (Sylvania, GA). The Gamecocks enter the 1A D-II Region 3 contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Screven County nudged McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA), 18-2, in a league contest.
