September 2, 2025: Metter, GA 30439 The Metter Tigers softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Claxton Tigers to 3 in the Tigers league win on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portal for a 1A D-II Region 3 battle on Thursday, September 4. Metter will confront a Panthers team coming off a 10-4 league win over Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Claxton moves to 2-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Jenkins County (Millen, GA) to confront the War Eagles in a 1A D-II Region 3 challenge on Thursday, September 4.
