Michigan High School Football - Houghton Lake sneaks past Evart

September 5, 2025: Houghton Lake, MI 48629

The Houghton Lake Bobcats football squad scored 14 points and limited the visiting Evart Wildcats to 8 in the Bobcats league triumph on Friday.

In their next game, the Bobcats play the Pine River Area Bucks (Leroy, MI) in a Highland challenge, on Friday, September 12. Houghton Lake will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bucks go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 50-16 league loss to McBain (McBain, MI).

The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake City (Lake City, MI). The Trojans go into the Highland challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Lake City tipped Roscommon (Roscommon, MI), 34-28, in a league test.
