September 5, 2025: Corydon, IA 50060 Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA), 63-20 in a league battle.
With the win, Montezuma advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Braves host Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA) to confront the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, September 12. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 2-0. Iowa Valley won 74-6 in their recent league battle against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA)
The Falcons now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Moravia for a 8-Man District 7 (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 12. Wayne will play a Mohawks team coming off a 42-12 non-league win over Murray (Murray, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 2-0.
