Pennsylvania High School Football - Northgate trounced by New Brighton
September 5, 2025: Pittsburgh, PA 15202 The Northgate Flames football team (Pittsburgh, PA), was crushed 38-0 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA)
The Lions (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom Area (Freedom, PA). The Bulldogs enter the WPIAL AA Midwestern contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Freedom Area crushed Summit Academy (Herman, PA), 43-16, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Flames confront the Shenango Wildcats (New Castle, PA) in a WPIAL A Big 7 bout, on Friday, September 12. Northgate will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 24-0 non-league win over Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA).
