In Friday's league game, the Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) football team triumphed over the visiting River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN), by a tally of 49-0.

In their next game, the Bearcats face the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors (Hammond, IN) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 12. Wheeler will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 1-2 record after their 28-7 league loss to Whiting (Whiting, IN).
