Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 35-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Franklin advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to play the Eagles in a 3A Mountain 7 battle on Friday, September 20. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 2-1.

The Maroon Devils now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Tuscola for a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. Swain County will play a Mountaineers team coming off a 28-6 non-league win over McDowell (Marion, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 2-1.
