The Weldon Chargers felled the host Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars football team by a score of 30-0 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers face the Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) in a Tar Roanoke 1A challenge, on Friday, September 13. Weldon will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 44-8 league win over Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC).
