Illinois High School Soccer - Bloomington toppled by Normal University
September 6, 2025: Normal, IL 61761 Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Normal University improves its record to 4-3 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Springfield (Springfield, IL) to clash with the Senators in a Central State Eight test on Tuesday, September 9. The Senators come into the test with a record of 3-4. Springfield lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL)
The Purple Raiders now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Normal Community for a Big Twelve test on Monday, September 8. Bloomington will clash with a Ironmen team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to O'Fallon (O'Fallon, IL). The Ironmen record now stands at 2-2.
