In Saturday's non-league test, the visiting Marshall Mavericks volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the Carthage Bulldogs.

With the win, Marshall advances its record to 19-8 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Canton (Canton, TX) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 14-12. Canton won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Marshall (Marshall, TX)

The Bulldogs now sport a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cumberland Academy for a 4A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, September 9. Carthage will face a Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Arp (Arp, TX). The Knights record now stands at 10-5.
