In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Newton County Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints.

The Cougars (20-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Oxford (Oxford, MS). The Chargers enter the non-league challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Oxford achieved victory over Germantown (Madison, MS), 3-0, in a league test.

The Saints now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hartfield Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. St. Andrew's Episcopal will face a Hawks squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 12-3.
