Spectators at Monday's league contest between the Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE) and the visiting Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE), saw Elkhorn South's softball squad nip Pius X by a score of 8-2.

With the triumph, Elkhorn South improves its record to 13-5 on the year. The Storm travel to Millard North (Omaha, NE) to face the Mustangs in a A District contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Mustangs enter the contest with a record of 14-2. Millard North won 7-5 in their recent non-league bout against Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE)

In their next game, the Thunderbolts battle the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers (Wahoo, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, September 16. Pius X will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record.
