North Carolina High School Volleyball - Piedmont over Monroe

In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Piedmont Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Monroe Redhawks.

The Panthers (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans enter the Southern Carolina 6A/7A test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Sun Valley achieved victory over Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC), 3-0, in a league test.

The Redhawks now own a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forest Hills for a Rocky River 4A/5A test on Tuesday, September 9. Monroe will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-9.
