The Salem Spartans football squad scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Fleming Colonels to 12 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northside for a non-league battle on Friday, September 16. Salem will face a Vikings squad coming off a 32-29 non-league loss to Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-3.

Coming up next, the Colonels face the Patrick Henry Patriots (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 16. Fleming will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record.
