The Yorktown Tigers volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders to 0 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Brownsburg for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 13. Yorktown will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league win over Avon (Avon, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Mt. Vernon drops to 12-2 on the campaign. The Marauders host Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, IN) to play the Cougars in a Hoosier Heritage game on Tuesday, September 16. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 9-6. Greenfield-Central lost 3-0 in their recent league game against New Castle (New Castle, IN)
