North Carolina High School Football - Hickory prevails Newton-Conover

In Friday's league match, the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes football team scored a nice 42-14 win over the Newton-Conover Red Devils.

With the win, Hickory improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Red Tornadoes host Foard (Newton, NC) to meet the Tigers in a Western Foothills 4A/5A match on Friday, September 19. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 2-1. Foard lost 37-2 in their recent league match against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

Coming up next, the Red Devils meet the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A match, on Friday, September 26. Newton-Conover will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
