Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), 43-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Farwell advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Steers host Abernathy (Abernathy, TX) to play the Antelopes in a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. The Antelopes go into the battle with a record of 1-2. Abernathy won 26-22 in their recent non-league battle against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX)

The Roughnecks now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host New Deal for a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. Sundown will play a Lions team coming off a 26-17 non-league loss to Slaton (Slaton, TX). The Lions record now stands at 2-1.
