The Gothenburg Swedes softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Chase County Longhorns to 0 in the Swedes league win on Saturday.

The Swedes now possess a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Polk County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. Gothenburg will confront a Slammers team coming off a 13-12 non-league loss to Ord (Ord, NE). The Slammers record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Chase County moves to 1-8 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Gering (Gering, NE) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 11-5. Gering won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Alliance (Alliance, NE)
