The Pius X Thunderbolts overwhelmed the host Gross Catholic Cougars softball squad by a count of 9-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Thunderbolts meet the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers (Wahoo, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Pius X will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Mercy (Omaha, NE).

With the loss, Gross Catholic moves to 5-11 on the season. The Cougars travel to South Sioux City (South Sioux City, NE) to encounter the Cardinals in a B District 4 outing on Monday, September 15. The Cardinals come into the outing with a record of 3-14. South Sioux City lost 11-8 in their recent non-league outing against Falls City (Falls City, NE)
