September 15, 2023: Pittston, PA 18640 The Hanover Area Hawkeyes football team (Hanover Township, PA), was knocked off 35-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA)
The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley View (Archbald, PA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Valley View knocked off North Pocono (Covington Township, PA), 14-7, in a league challenge.
The Hawkeyes now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Wyoming Area for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 22. Hanover Area will meet a Warriors team coming off a 35-13 league win over Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-0.
