In Friday's league game, the Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) football team got by the host North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA), by a score of 14-7.

The Cougars (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Pittston (Pittston, PA). The Patriots come into the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Pittston nipped Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA), 35-6, in a non-league game.

The Trojans now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Scranton for a Lackawanna 1 test on Friday, September 22. North Pocono will confront a Knights team coming off a 34-0 league loss to Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
