Match Summary
The Squires came out strong scoring first in the first couple of minutes of the game building out of the back, controlling the ball and Nolan Kruse #9 had a cross from the left assisting Angello Salazar #7 both seniors with a goal. Shalom answered back with two goals and the Squires Michael Carter #10 then responded with another goal leading us into the half tied 2-2. Eight minutes into the second half, Shalom slide tackled and simultaneously took out Salazar who fell awkwardly onto his left arm breaking it. Will Holtz #5 sophomore came into the game and Shalom took the lead scoring 3 more goals before the Squires answered back with their third goal from Giorgio Lima #45 to Holtz who put it in the upper corner of the net. Shalom answered with one more goal ending the game 3-6. The Squires had a few defensive breakdowns and goalie missteps that led to their defeat.
