Match Summary
The Squires followed Tuesday's shutout victory with another big win Thursday away against the Fairfield Knights. The Squires dominated the first half 4-0 which allowed more of our younger players to get some minutes. We had scores by Nolan Kruse #9 with an assist by Angello Salazar #7 followed by an assist from captain and senior JP Groves #4 to center-mid senior and captain Michael Carter #10 who dribbled for a hard shot in the corner of the net. Kruse then gives it over to Salazar who puts in the third goal of the game. On a corner kick from Will Holtz #5 to the box, Ethan Sevison #39 captain and senior flicks it in with his foot for the score.
JP Groves #4 - Player of the Game - JP is a captain and our unsung hero workhorse at the CDM position that doesn't get a lot of recognition. He's a link between the defense and the offense and stops the opposition from creating scoring opportunities. He also had an assist tonight.
