Pennsylvania High School Football - Central Mountain thwarted by Shamokin Area

September 19, 2025: Mill Hall, PA 17751

Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Central Mountain Wildcats (Mill Hall, PA), 35-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Shamokin Area improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Indians host Selinsgrove (Selinsgrove, PA) to play the Seals in a PIAA District IV battle on Friday, September 26. The Seals go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Selinsgrove lost 29-23 in their recent league battle against Williamsport (Williamsport, PA)

With the defeat, Central Mountain drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Shikellamy (Sunbury, PA) to meet the Braves in a PIAA District IV test on Friday, September 26. The Braves come into the test with a record of 3-2. Shikellamy lost 42-14 in their recent league test against Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA)
