Texas High School Football - Covenant Christian crushed by First Baptist

First Baptist Saints (Dallas, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Covenant Christian Cougars (Colleyville, TX), 49-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, First Baptist improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Saints host Mercy Culture Prep (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Royals in a TAPPS Division IV District 1 battle on Friday, September 26. The Royals go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Mercy Culture Prep lost 48-35 in their recent non-league battle against Coram Deo Academy (Flower Mound, TX)

The Cougars now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Southwest Christian School for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Covenant Christian will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 49-13 non-league win over Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-0.
