The Mullen Mustangs softball squad (Denver, CO), was routed 16-5 in Saturday's league match with the visiting Smoky Hill Buffaloes (Aurora, CO)

The Buffaloes (6-10) will now prepare for their match against Arapahoe (Centennial, CO). The Warriors come into the 5A/4A Centennial match with a 9-6 record. In their last match, Arapahoe notched a victory over Mullen (Denver, CO), 16-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Cherry Creek Bruins (Greenwood Village, CO) in a 5A/4A Centennial game, on Monday, September 22. Mullen will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Bruins enter the game with a 10-7 record after their 9-0 league loss to Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO).
