West Virginia High School Football - Midland Trail knocked off by Summers County

September 22, 2023: Hinton, WV 25951

Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), 16-6 in a league test.

With the triumph, Summers County improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to James Monroe (Lindside, WV) to confront the Mavericks in a Coalfield A test on Friday, September 29. The Mavericks come into the test with a record of 3-0. James Monroe won 21-6 in their recent non-league test against Narrows (Narrows, VA)

With the loss, Midland Trail drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Nicholas County (Summersville, WV) to confront the Grizzlies in a non-league battle on Friday, September 29. The Grizzlies go into the battle with a record of 1-3. Nicholas County lost 17-16 in their recent non-league battle against Lincoln (Shinnston, WV)
