In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Chase Trojans football squad scored a good 44-36 triumph over the R-S Central Hilltoppers.

The Trojans (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers go into the battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Hibriten prevailed over East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 56-22, in a non-league battle.

The Hilltoppers now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lincolnton for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 2. R-S Central will play a Wolves team coming off a 13-0 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 3-2.
