The River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) football overcame the host Marion Center Stingers (Marion Center, PA), 40-16 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Northern Cambria Colts (Northern Cambria, PA) in a Heritage bout, on Friday, October 6. River Valley will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Colts enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 42-23 league win over Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA).

The Stingers (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Penns Manor (Clymer, PA). The Comets enter the Heritage bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Penns Manor was toppled by United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] (Nanty Glo, PA), 14-0, in a league bout.
