Virginia High School Volleyball - Mecklenburg County over George Washington

In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Mecklenburg County Phoenix volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the George Washington Eagles.

The Phoenix (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, Tunstall beat Bassett (Bassett, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a Piedmont test, on Thursday, October 2. George Washington will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 7-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Halifax County (South Boston, VA).
