Texas High School Basketball - Abilene holds off Cooper
January 10, 2023: Abilene, TX 79603 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) and the visiting Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX), saw Abilene's basketball squad hold off Cooper by a tally of 55-50.
With the victory, Abilene improves its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Wylie (Abilene, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 9-15. Wylie lost 78-66 in their recent league challenge against Cooper (Lubbock, TX)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Wylie Bulldogs (Abilene, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Cooper will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-14 record after their 73-67 league loss to Coronado (Lubbock, TX).
